My love of running has steadily grown throughout my adult years. I ran my first marathon in 2017 (Chicago) and was blown away by the atmosphere and crowd support. Never in my life had I experienced a more beautiful and inspiring day.
In 2020, I was struggling with anxiety and depression. This was the most difficult season of life I'd ever experienced and I had no idea how to overcome it. It was in this season that I started daydreaming about the joys of the Chicago Marathon.
Inspired by the memories, I slowly started cranking out training miles. The more miles I ran, the less anxiety I had and the easier it became for me to clear the mental clutter of life.
In 2021 I ran my first ultra marathon and was absolutely hooked. I knew I had found something special.. Not just because of the amazing feeling of accomplishment but because I had found a community filled with amazing humans from all different backgrounds.
Since becoming an ultramarathoner, I’ve completed 14 ultras.
I became a certified running coach (2022) out of gratitude for the sport and a desire to help others find and pursue the incredible adventures only trail and ultra running can provide.
My life has been changed by it and I’m so thankful to be a member of the amazing community.
It is my goal as a coach to help runners of all ages, backgrounds and abilities find and navigate their own journeys – pushing themselves to places they’ve never been – both physically and mentally.
Whether your goal is running your first 5k, a 100 mile PR or taking on a 200+ miler, I’m here to help! I take joy in empowering my athletes to dig deeper than they ever dreamed possible and subsequently watching them crush their fitness goals!
